Ya-Hong Xie (SM’99–F’14) received the B.Sc. degree in physics from Purdue University, West Lafayette, IN, USA, in 1981, and the M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees from the University of California at Los Angeles, Los Angeles, CA, USA, in 1983 and 1986, respectively, all in electrical engineering.,His current research interests include plasmon resonance enabled bio-sensing, physical properties, and devices of graphene.
